THREE shoots in ONE DAY! WOWZA everyone! Thanks to all my families for their patience and for making Sunday such a fun day!

Family 1, was a 3 part family location shoot at a local garden in League City!
Family 2, was a fun spunky bathtub shoot!
Family 3, was those adorable little 1 yr old twins L & L.

The day before that was another location shoot for Family B.

Please know that I am working very hard and very fast to get your slideshows and proofs online as fast as I can. In the meantime, enjoy these peaks....

This is another family that I've photographed many times before. They are so picture perfect and as always, it's a pleasure to photograph them.

For this shoot, "Momma A." wanted a Fallish type backdrop. Hopefully, she'll love her pics as much as I am.

This family is always so much fun to photograph. They are absolutely gorgeous and really make beautiful children. I've been lucky to photograph Little Girl D since she was newborn and actually in her moms tummy (a la Maternity Photos). And, now, I've got the good fortune to photograph their newest baby - Baby Tres! (of course that's not his real name, but it was an initial nickname for him and I loved the mysteriousness of it). Ok everyone! Thanks for all the calls/emails asking about when I'd be back to work shooting all you lovely families! We took some family time off this summer/start of school season to spend time with my twins and to recover from Hurricane Ike. It was a refreshing break and we used the time to get some long-standing projects done. Thanks for all your understanding and I look forward to helping your families with your Holiday Season needs!

WILDFLOWER/BLUEBONNET (local) shoots: Bluebonnets are starting to bloom and I estimate that starting Easter Weekend, the flowers will start to peak. I will offer 2 location shoots per day, approximately 30 minutes each. Cost for the Wildflower package will start at $75 and will give you the basic single pose package of 1-8x10, 2-5x7’s and 8 wallets. I am offering shoot times to CURRENT CUSTOMERS first! Then, I’ll open to the general public

New Pricing Options

In addition to unveiling a new logo, I'm also implementing new pricing. There will be 4 session options to choose from.

Mini-Sessions - $50
These sessions will be quick, one outfit/theme (Valentines, Bluebonnets, Santa, Pumpkins etc). The photographer will spend about 15-20 minutes per shoot and will have these sessions scheduled with other customers. You will receive a $25 image credit to be used towards prints, slideshows, etc.. Normal a la carte pricing will apply (see below for a la carte pricing)

Studio Sessions - $100
These sessions will be one-on-one Photographer time. Session time is not limited, nor are outfit changes or # of participants. The Studio Session also includes an online slideshow. A $75 image credit will be given to the customer to be redeemed towards prints, custom design, slideshow, or print images.

Mini-Location sessions: $50
A mini-location session will apply mainly for Bluebonnets and other similar planned QUICK sessions that will be less than 20 minutes or so. These sessions will NOT include a custom slideshow and will probably only have around 50 images shot at these sessions. A $25 image credit will be given to the customer for redemption towards prints, custom design, slideshow or print images.

Location Sessions - $135
(within Friendswood/Clear Lake/League City/Texas City/Dickinson and some central Houston locations)
These sessions will be one-on-one Photographer time. Session time is not limited, nor are outfit changes. The Location Session also includes an online slideshow. An $85 image credit will be given to the customer to be redeemed towards prints, custom design, slideshow, or print images. For sessions outside a 30 mile radius, add $20 premium.

A la carte pricing:
You can use your image credit towards the purchase of any images or slideshows or prints.
Print prices start at $7.50 for 4x6's and wallets.

COLLAGES:
$35 - 5x15 includes design and 3 images.
Larger sizes can be selected and designed. For each additional image added to collage is $5, plus print price applies. Example: you want a 10x20 collage with 4 images. The base price for a collage and design is $35. The additional image is $5 and the print cost for a 10x20 is $55.

SLIDESHOWS:
There are two options available for slideshows. All customers that book a Studio or Location session will receive the online slideshow free of charge. These slideshows can be forwarded to friends and family and will remain online for at least 30 days after the photo shoot.

Option 1 ($125): Computer slideshow only.
Slideshow comes on CD and will run on your home computer. Images included are web quality only. Web quality means resolution is lowered for easy viewing of images online, in email, web cards and blogs. Print quality on these images will be very grainy.

• Option 2 ($150): TV/DVD slideshow & Computer slideshow. Note: This option will also include the computer slideshow as well. Images included on disk are web quality only.

PRINT IMAGES (High Quality for lab printing):
• Option 1 ($235): 2 DVD disk set, with copyrights released for entire session. Disk 1 contains ALL print quality images for session. Print quality means printable up to 20x30. This disk will also include a copyright release for use at local printing labs. Disk 2 includes the TV/DVD slideshow (from above).
• Option 2 ($150): For sessions that have less than 75 images, this pricing will apply for your DVD disk set.
• Option 3 ($85): Purchase 5 digital images. These images must be purchased as a 5 pack. This is at the photographers discretion and will usually only apply to sessions from Monkey 'n Around.

CUSTOM DESIGN:
4x8 horizontal (or vertical style):
These are basic layout cards that the photographer will drop a single image into. IF the photographer is printing the cards for you, then you will receive custom design service on your card free. Pricing for 4x8 photo cards start at $12.00 for a pack of 10, with price breaks at each 25 set interval.

Press Cards/Designs:
Press cards are actual invitation style/custom folded cards. These cards are not to be confused with the custom 4x8 design cards. A custom designed press card starts at $35.00 (not including design) for a pack of 10, with price breaks at each 25 set purchased.

Custom design services start at $25 per *side* that includes an image on the card or image face. Example: you are purchasing a 6-sided custom card and 4 of the sides have an image on it, then you will be charged $100 for design, plus the cost of card design. This is for Press cards only. Press cards are actual invitation style/custom folded cards.

Unveiling of a new logo identity!

As part of the new year, I hired a designer, Catherine Kahn of Kahncepts.com, to help me design a new logo. I wanted a logo that kept my identity (camera with the twins in lens - since I'm a mom to twins), but that also made my logo more fun.

Whew! I've been BUSY!

I've not had a chance to post to the blog because I've been non-stop busy! Over the October 2007 / Holiday 2007, I had over 70 shoots!

So, whew! January is a housekeeping month and I'm about to unveil a new look for the website! In the meantime, please be patient with the galleries! I'm working hard to populate those galleries but it's so hard having to choose the absolute best images! I've been so fortunate to work with such beautiful families!

I'm currently booking for TuTu and mini-Sweetheart Sessions! Book yours today! Also, be thinking about Bluebonnets. Those sessions will be available for my current customers first, then I'll open up sessions to new customers. All sessions will be first-come, first-served!

Remember those triplets from the Bluebonnets?

Well, they are turning ONE and I had the honor and privelege to photograph their first cake experiences, as well as some other fun family shots!

I don't know who had more fun today - the babies or me!!! This was one of my favorite shoots! The babies were in great form and everything just 'clicked'. I love it because it because it makes for such wonderful pictures!

There were so many GREAT pictures to choose from, I'm really having a hard time compiling them for the slideshow. Here's a sneak peak to all the fun we had today!

What a BEAUTIFUL family! Those Red/Blue tutu's were made for me by a local gal. I plan to implement these in future rodeo photoshoots! They have bandanas mixed in with the tulle! Really nice! The babies were EXCELLENT models for them too!

Happy Birthday Babies! This was just the beginning of the cake experience! By the time we were done, the babies were COVERED in cake and mom jumped in to the waterfall pool to clean the babies up!

Perfect smiles! I love this picture, even with Dad's hand in this one. I love the way the babies lined up and did that perfect angle pose!

Bluebonnets in Texas...

Since I decided to start a blog, I've had the pleasure, of going back through previous customer photo sessions and smiling as I recall what fun experiences I had.

One of my favorite times of year in Texas is the Springtime. In fact, it's probably one of the most colorful seasons you'll see in Texas. We've got it all - Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush, Goldenrod, Poppies, Wisteria from the roadsides, Jasmines, etc..

This year, I had the good fortune of photographing a set of triplets, many many twins and a single singleton - with her older brother!

Below are some of my favorite images from these sessions! Does it look like we're having fun???? Have I mentioned how much FUN I have when I've got my camera in my hand? I LOVE my job!

Helen's Garden Photo Shoot in honor of July 4th...

I think 18 months is one of my favorite ages to photograph. They are still 'babies' in the sense that they are exploring and seeing everything for the first time, but they are old enough to smile and just do funny things.

I've photographed these twin boys before, and they are always spirited and fun to be around. This time, I had the good fortune to photograph my customers older daughters as well. They are such a GORGEOUS family! Plus, it helps when you pull out all the right tools (bubbles and glittery hats) to get those smiles!

The older girls were so fun to photograph! I'm so used to following very active, exploring the world types... you know the ones ... the crawlers or the toddling as fast as they can crowd. I love the little ones, because I'm forever being reminded about what is amazing and wonderous about life. However, when I am given the chance to 'pose' my subjects, I get that chance to tweak my camera settings for some truly equisite effects.

I really think the shoot went well and we got some amazing shots. I was worried that it was going to rain, but, the sun came out and we had a fun shoot. I am so lucky to have a job that I love, working with such fun families.

The Garden's are one of my favorite locations to photograph families. There are so many scenic opportunities to capture those fun-loving memories for families.

Well, I guess it's time for me to join the blogging revolution. I have had many clients ask me what's going on, or what specials I have, or can they have a 'sneak peek' at their pictures, etc..
